Yuku Fm
Type Locality and Naming
North Qinling Mts (southwest Henan). The Yuku Fm was named by the Third Geological Party of Henan Bureau of Geology (1978), which was published by the Henan Compiling Group for the Regional Stratigraphical Scale (1979), the Regional Stratigraphic Scale of North China. The type section is located in Yuku valley area, Luanchuan County, Henan Province.

Lithology and Thickness
The Yuku Fm is mainly composed of thick-bedded dolomitic marble with quartzite and biotite sericite quartz schist. There is a basal layer of conglomerate about 3-5 m thick. The Yuku Formation is exposed over 569 m thick.
Relationships and Distribution
Lower contact
The basal conglomerates are conformable onto the underlying Sanchakou Formation (Sandaozhuang Formation).
Upper contact
Next higher regional unit is the Sanchuan Fm of Early Carboniferous.
Regional extent
North Qinling Mts (southwest Henan). The Yuku Formation is mainly distributed in Jiangandi, middle part of Yuku valley, Qiguzhai and Xingjiazhuang in Luanchuan County and Lushi County, Henan Province.
